The `dstate` reference was only an indirection to the `timers`
sub-structure anyway, so removing this indirection allows us to reuse
the timers in the subdaemon arch.
This allows us to track precise transaction depth ourselves,
particularly in the case of branching.

For better or worse, the ccan/timer structure is completely minimal,
and designed to be wrapped inside a container structure.
